So, you’ve just stepped off the train at London’s Euston train station? In what may be described one of the craziest feelings in the world, there’s a sort of panic that sets in almost immediately. All I can tell you is, “don’t worry.” Despite its size and complexity, London’s Euston train station is one of the most efficient and navigable train stations in the world. Make your way outside and let the fun begin. What’s going to happen when you get outside? You’ll realize you’re in London!
In the vicinity of London’s Euston train station is the British Library. What was formerly part of the British Museum, the new British Library is an entity all to itself. On the outside of the building is an amazing statue of Sir Isaac Newton, one of the greatest men to ever live. But, if that takes your breath away, wait until you step inside. The library is home to some of the rarest and most precious books the world has ever seen. Things like the famous Magna Carta are housed within the walls of the library. Although these gems are locked off from the public, there is still a vast array of books and knowledge for the public to consume. The library has many reading rooms through its floors where patrons can find a quiet place to read. It’s hard to believe such a quiet place exists amidst all of the hustle and bustle of London just outside the windows. So if you’ve just stepped off the train at Euston, do yourself a favor and unwind in one of Britain’s most important buildings and intellectual strongholds while you try and figure out where it is you’re headed.
