Parking at Euston station couldn’t be easier. There are so many factors that show that driving to the station is a much better option than walking. If you choose to walk then you will have to get up much easier and set aside a lot more time for travel. In an age where time is valued almost as highly as gold, the decision to waste time through unnecessary travelling is quite bizarre! Similarly, only someone with incredible resilience would choose to risk the British weather by not driving to and from the station; why put yourself at the mercy of the heavens when you can just about guarantee that it will rain heavily as soon as you set foot out of the station and stop as soon as you get home! Some people are worried about the safety of their car if they leave it at the station, which is fair enough – you are taking your car into an unknown area so it is very similar to being out of your comfort zone. Yet, if you think about it, your car couldn’t be safer than in the car park; not many people have a state of the art CCTV system surrounding their drive – by leaving the car unsupervised at home, it is in much more danger than driving to the station!
The car park is incredibly cheap – even being free at weekends. During the say it costs £1.20 per hour for the first 5 hours, then £12 for 12 hours and £20 for 24 hours. You’ll be hard pressed to find a cheaper option!

Euston Station is the sixth busiest station in London and therefore has outstanding transport links to other parts of London, and indeed the rest of the country. However, public transport in the UK isn’t as good as on the continent; over there you can expect trains to arrive on the minute, whereas in the UK they are frequently delayed – if the weather is too cold the trains freeze up and can’t run, and if it’s too hot the tracks expand so much that the trains can’t run! Therefore by far the safest option is to rent a car upon arriving at Euston Station. You may ask what the point is of such a move, when you may find it easier to flag down a cab, especially if you feel you don’t know London that well. The downside to this is that cab drivers have a reputation for ‘going the long way’ and charging you a fortune for your journey; it might well be cheaper to simply hire a car.
Car hire operators have noticed this so there is a wide variety of choice for car rentals in the local area. Some will even drive the car to you at the station for you to drive away from the front door. This has the advantage of allowing you to find the best deal without having to worry too much about how close they are to your pickup area. If you are looking for a company that is very close to the station, Avis is your best bet with an office just a few hundred yards from the station entrance.
